Introduction

These betting rules govern every wager placed on Goodjl. They apply to all sports markets, in‑play betting, live casino interactions with wagering components, and any promotional or specialist bets offered by Goodjl. By placing a bet, you acknowledge and agree to these rules, as well as any supplementary market‑specific terms published for a given event or market.

Eligibility, Accounts and Responsible Use

• You must be at least 18 years old or the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction to wager on Goodjl, and you must reside in a jurisdiction where online gambling is permitted.
• All bets must be placed from a registered Goodjl account in good standing, with full compliance with identity verification and anti‑money‑laundering requirements.
• Goodjl may impose limits on accounts or accept/withhold bets at its sole discretion to comply with regulatory, risk, or internal controls.

General Betting Rules

• Minimum stake: 1 currency unit per bet. Maximum stake varies by market, product, and regulatory jurisdiction; the stake field will display the applicable limit for your bet.
• Bet acceptance and pricing: A bet is considered placed when it is confirmed by Goodjl. Goodjl reserves the right to decline any bet, or to modify, suspend, or cancel a market at any time before settlement for reasons including technical error, incorrect odds, or potential abuse of the betting system.
• Parlay and accumulator rules: Bets that combine selections across different events are generally not accepted unless via a dedicated Bet Builder feature. Within the same event, multiple selections may be offered only in accordance with the Bet Builder rules; otherwise, such combinations may be voided.
• Cash Out: Where available, the Cash Out feature may be offered for individual bets or baskets of bets. Cash Out is not guaranteed and may be restricted by market type, time, or event status.
• Odds and palpable errors: Goodjl does not guarantee the accuracy of odds in every circumstance. If a clearly erroneous price is displayed or a systemic pricing error occurs, Goodjl may cancel or adjust the bet at its discretion, with or without refund of stakes.

Settlement of Bets

• Results basis: Bets are settled on the official results as published by the relevant sporting authority or competition organizer. If official data is unavailable or conflicting, Goodjl may settle based on reliable in‑house statistics or independent sources as a fallback.
• Timing: Markets are generally settled shortly after the event concludes. Where a market is re‑settled due to an official result revision or adjudication, Goodjl reserves the right to adjust balances accordingly. The maximum period between initial settlement and any re‑settlement is 30 days.
• Live and pre‑match timing: If an event is interrupted, postponed, or abandoned, Goodjl may void or settle affected markets in accordance with these rules and the event’s revised status. If an event is abandoned, undecided markets are typically voided and stakes refunded, subject to market description and time‑based rules.
• Scoring boards and score screens: Score boards presented to customers are indicative; bets should be settled based on the official result rather than on in‑page displays alone.

Special Settlement Rules and Corrections

• Errors and corrections: If Goodjl detects a systematic or human error in accepting a bet (including odds, event, or start time), it may cancel or re‑settle the affected bet. The error may be corrected before or after settlement.
• Injuries and non‑participants: If a participant withdraws or is unable to participate after the market has been opened, bets may be treated in accordance with the market description; certain markets may stand, be voided, or require adjustment as described in the market terms.
• Non‑offer and unavailable selections: If a listed selection is not available at settlement, bets on other eligible selections in the same market may stand and be settled according to these rules.

Dead Heat Rules

In the event of two or more joint winners (a dead heat), winnings and losses are apportioned proportionally among the winning contracts. Where a market involves multiple positions, only the contracts tied for a shared outcome are affected. Example calculations are provided in the market rules accompanying the bet description and may vary by market format.

Type of Bets and Market Structures

• Single bets: A wager on a single outcome or market.
• Accumulators: Bets that combine multiple independent selections across one or more events and generally require all selections to win. Accumulator odds and payouts are calculated cumulatively.
• Bet Builder: When offered, Bet Builder allows combining multiple selections from the same event into a single market under defined rules. Other cross‑event combinations remain outside the Bet Builder scope unless explicitly described.
• Outright markets: Seasonal or tournament‑long markets (e.g., winner, top finishers) are subject to the Play‑or‑Pay principle described below.

Outrights and Play‑or‑Pay

Outright markets (short‑term and long‑term) may continue to stand for settlement even if a listed participant is unable to participate after the market’s opening. Under Play‑or‑Pay, bets on Outright participants stand as placed even if that participant ultimately does not take part; in contrast, Head‑to‑Head markets may be voided if a listed participant is withdrawn. Market descriptions will specify applicable treatment.

In‑Play, Live Betting and VAR Rules

• In‑play markets: Live odds are updated in real time. Bets placed during a live event are subject to ongoing adjustments and potential suspensions if the event status changes.
• VAR and official decisions: If a decision is subsequently overturned by a VAR review or official decision after a live incident, bets placed during the affected window may be voided or settled in accordance with the final outcome. Other bets not influenced by the decision remain unaffected.
• Display and rounding: For user experience, displayed odds may be shown with two decimal digits. Total odds are calculated with a sixth‑decimal precision, while total winnings are rounded down to two decimals. Any discrepancies are a function of the rounding rules applied.

Format and Timeframes

• Odds formats: All bets settle on decimal odds, irrespective of the display format selected by the customer.
• Settlement timeframes: The standard interval between initial settlement and any subsequent adjustment or re‑settlement is up to 30 days.
• Event timing: Bets placed after the start of an event are generally not accepted, except where live markets explicitly allow late entry; otherwise, such bets may be voided or treated as non‑runners per market terms.

Void, Cancellations and Refunds

• Void events: If an event is cancelled or not completed within a reasonable period, affected bets are refunded unless the market description specifies otherwise.
• Postponements and changes: If a market is postponed beyond the period described in the market rules or if a significant change to the event occurs (venue, format, or other material alteration), Goodjl reserves the right to void affected bets and refund stakes.
• Suspicious activity and regulatory concerns: Goodjl may cancel or suspend bets and/or accounts in response to suspicious activity, regulatory inquiries, or integrity concerns, with appropriate notices.

Ongoing Responsibility and Compliance

Goodjl supports responsible gambling. Users should set personal limits and monitor gambling activity. All betting activity is subject to applicable laws and Goodjl’s licensing and regulatory regime. By engaging with Goodjl, you acknowledge and agree to these obligations and the privacy and data protections described in Goodjl’s separate policies.
